How to download your Netflix viewing history (and turn it into a watch list)
Step-by-step: download your Netflix viewing history as a CSV, then import it to see every show you’ve watched, rate them and get alerts for new seasons.
1. Download the file
- On a computer (or your phone’s browser, not the app), go to netflix.com/viewingactivity.
- Make sure you’re on your profile — the page only shows the profile you’re signed in as.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Download all. You’ll get a file called NetflixViewingHistory.csv.
2. Turn it into your list
- Open Import and choose Netflix.
- Upload the CSV. It’s read on your device — only show titles are sent to match them.
- Review the matches, add thumbs if you like, and tap Add. Anything you watched in the last month lands in Watching.
Got the full Netflix data download instead?
If you requested your account data from Netflix and received a .zip, upload that instead. It covers every profile on the account, so we’ll ask which one is yours, and we skip trailers and anything watched for less than two minutes.
Questions
Where do I find my Netflix viewing history?
On a computer, go to netflix.com/viewingactivity while signed in to your profile. Scroll to the bottom and choose Download all to save a CSV file.
Can I do it on my phone?
Netflix’s download button is on the website. Open netflix.com/viewingactivity in your phone’s browser (not the app), or use a computer.
Does the download include every profile?
No — Download all only covers the profile you’re using. Netflix’s full account data request covers every profile; if you upload that .zip, we’ll ask which profile is yours.
